Com demissão de Diniz, Fluminense procura um novo treinador; Cuca consultado, recusou oferta
Diante da demissão de Fernando Diniz, após um início ruim de temporada, o Fluminense inicia a busca por um novo técnico para o restante da temporada. Mesmo confiando em Marcão, técnico interino, a diretoria tricolor mudou de ideia sobre a permanência e entende que será necessário um planejamento maior para sair da zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão. Cuca, ex-comandante do Athletico, foi procurado, mas recusou.
Após o desligamento de Diniz na segunda-feira (24), Mário Bittencourt fez uma coletiva no dia seguinte, onde afirmou que a tendência era a manutenção de Marcão. No entanto, durante a semana, as avaliações continuaram e a ideia atual é a procura por um novo comandante com maior experiência em pontos corridos. Para o comando de futebol do Flu, há a necessidade de revitalizar o ambiente e buscar uma nova abordagem de jogo. Após mais de dois anos sob a liderança de Fernando Diniz, a saída do treinador gerou um clima de tristeza entre o elenco, e a proximidade de Marcão com os jogadores atrapalha essa mudança.
Atualmente, dois nomes são considerados principais candidatos. A busca por um novo treinador começou logo após a saída de Fernando Diniz, e Cuca foi consultado, mas o treinador recusou a oferta, assim como recusou propostas de outros clubes desde que saiu do Athletico.
