Desde que assumiu a titularidade no meio campo do Fluminense, Martinelli se tornou o principal articulador da equipe comandada por Marcão. Responsável pela transição entre a defesa e o ataque, o volante de 19 anos tem sido peça fundamental na retomada das boas atuações do tricolor no Campeonato Brasileiro.
Com Martinelli entre os 11 iniciais, o Fluminense ainda não sabe o que é perder no Brasileirão. O camisa 38 fez sua estreia como titular no empate em zero a zero com o RB Bragantino, pela 23ª rodada. De lá para cá foram mais seis jogos como titular, com cinco vitórias, um empate e os dois primeiros gols como profissional.
Neste meio tempo, Martinelli não iniciou apenas três partidas. Ficou de fora da partida contra o São Paulo (derrota por 2 a 1); entrou aos 41 minutos na vitória por 2 a 1 sobre o Flamengo – o gol da vitória foi marcado por Yago Felipe aos 48; e saiu do banco aos 25 do segundo tempo na goleada sofrida para o Corinthians por 5 a 0 – quando entrou, o Corinthians já havia marcado quatro gols.

Na equipe comandada por Marcão, o volante de 19 anos é o responsável por conectar os zagueiros aos meias ofensivos e atacantes. Com 89,4% de acerto nos passes e boa movimentação por todo o setor de meio campo, Martinelli é, em outras palavras, o “motor” do Fluminense após a saída de Dodi.
O Fluminense enfrenta o Atlético-MG, nesta quarta-feira (10), no Maracanã, em busca de se aproximar ainda mais da zona de classificação direta para a fase de grupos da próxima Libertadores e a tendência é que Martinelli seja mais uma vez titular no setor de meio campo tricolor. Vale destacar que o volante possui dois cartões amarelos e está pendurado.
