O Coração Valente foi o convidado da nossa última live. O ex-camisa 9 falou sobre sua chegada ao clube, seu marcante gol contra o São Paulo, seu lado torcedor, Héctor Baldassi – o juiz travestido de capeta, sua saída da CBF, sua saída em 2009, sua volta em 2010 e muito mais. A resenha rolou solta. Confira alguns pontos:
Chegada no clube
Primeiro vou contar um pouco de como cheguei. Estava no Urawa Reds, do Japão. Eu tive um contato em Maio de 2007 com o Fluminense, a partir do Branco e do Celso Barros. A ideia deles era me trazer em 2007 mesmo. Só que eu tinha um contrato, tinha um Mundial para disputar e o clube não me liberou. Depois do Mundial, que fui artilheiro, fui pro Flu. Na minha apresentação, muitos devem lembrar, quem me recebeu foi o Washington, do Casal 20. Eu me lembro muito bem de falar na entrevista “se eu fizer metade do que você fez, já estou satisfeito”. Foi o que aconteceu. A identificação ficou muito grande. Tenho familiares tricolores. Quando as coisas acontecem, uma coisa leva a outra. Não foi o time que joguei mais tempo, mas parece que joguei 10 anos no clube.

Gol contra o São Paulo
Aquele jogo, na verdade, teve uma história de antes de tudo acontecer. O rio corre pro mar. A gente treinava nas Laranjeiras. E todo os treinos eram lotados. No último antes do jogo, eu recebi um casal, que me falou: assista esse jogo. E se der, veja com o time. O nome do filme era Desafiando Gigantes. Ai eu assisti. Era a história do que tínhamos pela frente. Já pensei que tinha que levar para a concentração e pedi autorização pro Renato para passar o filme. No dia do jogo, passei o filme para o time. Era um time humilde que enfrentava o time grande, tradicional. Se formou um forte time, que ganhou o jogo. E nós assistimos juntos. Foi toda a preparação tática e técnica, e o filme, ao meu ver, foi uma ajuda a mais. Eu fiz o primeiro gol e quase rasguei a camisa de tanta vontade que eu estava de fazer o gol. E aí, depois, teve o empate, o gol do Dodô. E aos 47, eu fiz o gol que nos deu a classificação. Teve todo contexto, um momento marcante, pelas circunstancias também. Todos apostavam no São Paulo. Já tinha 47 minutos, o terceiro gol…
Você acompanha o Flu?
Eu sempre fui, sempre acompanhei. Quando parei de jogar, fiquei acompanhando sempre. Na parte política, do futebol. Sempre estive por dentro, até hoje. Não abro mão das notícias do Fluminense. Não tem jeito. A identificação foi tão forte que não tem como não pensar no clube, ver as notícias. Sou um torcedor. Rolou uma química legal. Sempre gostei do clube, quando aconteceu de ir jogar…. toda a história, não tem. Ficou, a química combinou. Não tem nada forçado, tudo natural.
Héctor Baldassi
Foi um pênalti claríssimo. A gente sabe quando queremos cavar, quando é duvidoso. Aquele lance foi um dos pênaltis mais claros que eu sofri na vida. Eu estava indo para cara do gol. Eu não troco chance clara de gol por um pênalti. Ele me puxou, eu desabei. Além disso, ele me deu um carrinho. Eu esperei o apito, não escutei e vi que ele mandou seguir. Ai pensei que tinha algo errado. Se ia entrar ou não, não dá para saber. Mas fez falta. E na disputa de pênaltis, o goleiro fez um cera grande. O pênalti do Thiago Neves foi assim. Esperou, esperou, quando ele decidiu bater, o goleiro pediu para parar. E o Baldassi mandou voltar. Foi absurdo, eu nunca tinha visto algo aquilo na vida. Não boto minha mão no fogo por ele. Pode ter sido um erro humano, mas nessa situação, eu não sei. Até hoje tenho minhas dúvidas.
Saída em 2009 e retorno em 2010
Eu sai de propósito em 2009 para vir o Fred. Por isso que ele é ídolo no clube (risos). Eu fui artilheiro do Brasileirão em 2008. E meu contrato estava terminando. E muitos clubes me procurando. Grêmio, Palmeiras, São Paulo. Terminou o campeonato, eu não tinha conversado com ninguém para renovar. Quando o São Paulo fez uma proposta, eu comecei a conversar, as coisas caminharam. A prioridade era o Flu. Mas não teve contato. Eu falei então que ia acertar com o São Paulo. Eu falei com Gilmar Rinaldi, meu empresário, que falou que tinha algumas propostas na mesa. Aí fui pro São Paulo, muitos ficaram chateados. Mas existe essas questões de contratos. Eu não sabia se o clube me queria ou não. A partir daí, 6 meses antes de acabar o contrato, começava a negociar. Naquele erro, o clube aprendeu.
O que faz hoje?
Estava como Secretário Nacional de Esportes no Governo Bolsonaro. Fui muito bem visto lá. Tinha atletas lá.Estava com o Emanuel, do Vôlei, a Luiza Parente. Eram 3 atletas como Secretários do Esporte. As coisas aconteceram muito bem. A gente vinha da linha de pensamento do atleta. É importante desenvolver todas as partes da hierarquia. O esporte só vive pelo atleta. O trabalho estava muito bom, e tive o convite da CBF, para Diretor de Desenvolvimento do Futebol. Eu aceitei esse desafio e estava fazendo um trabalho bacana. A gente tinha muitos contatos, reuniões com treinadores. Fizemos um comitê de ex-atletas, com Ricardo Rocha, Cafú, Muricy…. Eles falaram muita coisa para a gente desenvolver na CBF. Não adianta só determinar. Tem que debater com o jogador, que faz o esporte acontecer. Tem que escutar opinião, sugestão, para ter um trâmite melhor da CBF com os jogadores. Mas aí aconteceu uma situação no Caxias x Botafogo. Eu iniciei a minha carreira lá, sou o maior artilheiro da história do clube. E aí começou o jogo, eu ia para o camarote, que era para onde eu tinha que ficar. Mas na emoção do jogo, eu parei ali. Me empolguei. E teve o lance polêmico, do pênalti do Caxias. Eu vi com celular e o preparador de goleiros me pediu pra ver. E eu ingenuamente deixei ver. E a câmera filmou, a repercussão foi grande e pesada.
Aposentadoria
Depois do Brasileirão, onde fomos iluminados. Deus me ouviu, meu último gol foi diante do Corinthians. Nós perdemos de 2-1, mas continuamos na liderança. Eu estava sendo o artilheiro do Brasileiro naquele momento. Eu falei então que abriria mão dos gols pelo título. Já tinha sido campeão duas vezes, queria ser campeão. E assim aconteceu. Eu não fiz mais gols, mas fui campeão. Aí terminou o campeonato, fiquei de férias, voltei em 2011 para pré-temporada. O cardiologista já aconselhava parar. Eu pensei em jogar em 2011 e parar. Na pré-temporada, eu decidi parar. Conversei com o Celso Barros, com Peter Siemsen, com Muricy, que queria me matar, mas respeitou minha decisão. Não foi por questões clínicas, eu estava liberado. Fui campeão brasileiro e parei por cima.
