O mandatário tricolor comentou sobre a provável chegada de Fred e também sobre Thiago Silva, cujo contrato acaba no dia 30 do próximo mês. Confira:
– Eu já falei em duas ou três lives e tenho dito o seguinte: no pós-pandemia a chance de o Fred voltar, de 0 a 10, eu hoje classifico como 10. Tenho falado isso. Mas algumas coisas separam a concretização desse sonho. Na última entrevista que dei, falei que uma delas era a avaliação jurídica, que estamos fazendo, até porque ele tem o processo do Cruzeiro lá, onde ele tem uma liminar que o libera para atar em qualquer clube, e estamos discutindo isso. E eu já conversei, em parte, com o pessoal que cuida dos interesses dele. Eu gostaria de trazê-lo amanhã, como gostaria de trazer o Thiago Silva amanhã (aproveitando que o Thiago está na Live). São situações que fogem do nosso desejo. Precisamos ter equilíbrio e sensatez, como presidente do Fluminense, em que preciso fazer o melhor possível para o Fluminense. Nesse momento, o que de melhor pode acontecer para o Fluminense é o Fred e o Thiago voltarem. Mas, quando eu digo a melhor coisa, preciso avaliar a questão jurídica, a questão financeira. Para deixar a torcida ainda mais esperançosa e ansiosa, como havia prometido, falei com o Fred por Whatsapp e nos falamos com frequência. Estamos tentando de alguma forma concretizar esse sonho.

Repito: Se o Thiago me ligar e disser que os planos mudaram e quer retornar, vamos tentar de tudo dentro das nossas capacidades financeiras.
