O Fluminense foi à Salvador enfrentar o Bahia pela sexta rodada do campeonato brasileiro, o tricolor buscava a terceira vitória seguida na temporada, dando moral a equipe que tem jogos decisivos de mata-mata quanto na Copa do Brasil , enfrentando o Cruzeiro- , quanto na Sul-americana contra o Atlético Nacional (COL).
A equipe do Flu passou boa parte do primeiro tentando manter a posse do bola , mas sem efetividade no ataque porque o Bahia fazia uma boa marcação na saída de bola. O primeiro gol da partida, saiu em contra-ataque do Bahia depois de cobrança de escanteio a favor do clube das laranjeiras, a zaga do Fluminense cometeu falha generalizada e Artur ficou sozinho diante do goleiro Agenor e só teve o trabalho de desviar a bola do goleiro para fazer o gol. O tricolor conseguiu empatar no lance seguinte com um pênalti marcado em cima de Yony Gonzalez, Pedro bateu e empatou a partida.
Já no segundo gol do Bahia, o goleiro Agenor cometeu uma falha bizarra, tentando driblar o jogador do Bahia e foi desarmado. e Gilberto só teve o trabalho de tocar para o fundo das redes. No segundo tempo, buscando melhorar a saída de bola, com a qualidade no passe, Fernando Diniz botou na partida Ganso e Marcos Paulo , para a saída de Léo Artur e Yuri que não estavam bem na partida.

O árbitro de vídeo interfere negativamente – de novo- para o tricolor, Nino Paraíba cruza na área e a bola bate no braço de Gilberto. A partida seguiu, tendo ataques do Fluminense e o VAR pediu para o árbitro ver o lance e a penalidade foi marcada. Gilberto, atacante do Bahia, vai para a cobrança e o goleiro Agenor defende e mais uma vez o VAR entra em ação, mandando voltar a cobrança pois o goleiro teria se adiantado. O problema é que o VAR pode ser solicitado para quatro situações e a noite deste domingo foi utilizada uma quinta.
Situações que o VAR pode ser utilizado:
- Gol (irregular ou legal mas não dado);
- Pênalti ( mal marcado ou ignorado);
- Cartão vermelho direto ( mal aplicado ou ignorado);
- Cartão amarelo ou vermelho para jogador errado;
Verifiquem que nenhuma destas situações, onde o VAR pode ser utilizado, é verificar posicionamento do goleiro na hora da cobrança da penalidade, pois não é função do arbitro de vídeo e ,sim, do bandeirinha. Portanto, mais um erro grosseiro da arbitragem contra o Fluminense. E por já ter cartão amarelo, Agenor foi expulso pois há uma nova regra que a punição do goleiro por adiantar na cobrança é o cartão amarelo.
Depois do expulsão , o Flu ainda consegue diminuir a vantagem do Bahia para 3 a 2 com gol de João Pedro, após cobrança de falta de Ganso e o mlk de Xerém pegou o rebote permitido pelo goleiro do Bahia e mandou a bola para o fundo das redes.
O Flu tentava na juventude de Marcos Paulo e João Pedro, muito na base da força e vontade, mas acabou não conseguindo o empate.
Portanto VAR 3 x 2 Flu
O jogo
O Fluminense começa o jogo tentando manter a posse de bola, mas estava com muitas dificuldades para sair jogando , isto porque a equipe do Bahia dava o primeiro espaço e marcava a posse de bola do goleiro Agenor. Até os dez minutos do primeiro tempo Agenor havia dado pelo menos dois chutões para frente.
A primeira finalização do Fluminense foi apenas aos 15 minutos , com Yony González que chutou cruzado e rasteiro de dentro da área, a bola desvia na zaga e vai para escanteio. Na cobrança, ninguém cabeceia e bola sobra para o meio campo do Bahia, o contra ataque é muito bem armado e Artur fica sozinho contra o Agenor, ele só desloca a bola do goleiro e bota a equipe baiana em vantagem .
Poucos lances depois, aos 19 minutos ,Yony González recebe a bola dentro da área e é derrubado por Nino Paraíba e o juiz marca a penalidade. Pedro vai para a cobrança, e marca o seu terceiro gol – o goleiro até acerta o canto, mas a bola vai no cantinho, não dando chances para a defesa – no Brasileirão .
O Flu continuava tendo problemas na saída de bola e aos 30 minutos , Agenor erra na saída de bola, tentando dar o drible, e é desarmado por Gilberto e faz o segundo gol do Bahia na fonte nova.
No fim do primeiro tempo, o tricolor consegue pela primeira vez ficar com a bola no campo de ataque e trabalhar as jogadas , Pedro colocou uma bola no travessão em bola alçada na área. Mas o árbitro assinalou o impedimento no término da jogada, como a nova regra determina.
E acaba o primeiro tempo.
Na volta para o segundo tempo, Fernando Diniz faz duas alterações. Saíram: Léo Artur e Yuri e entraram : Ganso e Marcos Paulo. A tentativa de Diniz é ter maior qualidade nos passes na saída de bola.
Nos primeiros 10 minutos da segunda etapa , o Flu consegue ficar com a posse de bola no campo de ataque. A qualidade no passe de Ganso e Marcos Paulo faziam a equipe ter um poderio ofensivo maior.

O Gilberto – atacante do Bahia – foi para a cobrança e Agenor faz a defesa . Só que o VAR (VAR pro baralho) manda repetir a cobrança pois o goleiro avança na cobrança.
O regulamento prevê que o avanço do goleiro na cobrança de pênalti, é a punição por cartão amarelo, por já ter levado um na primeira etapa, foi expulso por levar o segundo cartão amarelo.
Com Agenor expulso, o tricolor teve que fazer a sua terceira substituição forçadamente. Saiu Pedro para a entrada de Rodolfo. Na nova cobrança , Gilberto não bobeou e colocou a bola no fundo das redes, sem chances para o goleiro do Fluminense. 3 a 1 para eles.
E que prejuízo para o Flu , pênalti foi marcado erroneamente pelo VAR , depois o juiz manda voltar a cobrança defendida pelo nosso goleiro e depois Agenor é expulso , levando o segundo cartão amarelo. Obrigando a jogarmos com 10 jogadores e sem o Pedro, homem de área.
Aos 36 minutos, a estrela de João Pedro brilha novamente. Ganso cobra falta forte e rasteira , o goleiro do Bahia permite o rebote, o mlk de Xerém empurrou a bola para o fundo das redes . Flu seguia vivo na partida, gol da esperança para a equipe. 3 a 2 para a Bahia.
Fluminense tentava atacar da forma que dava, mas sofria muito por ter um jogador a menos em campo.
Os garotos Marcos Paulo e João Pedro continuavam a ser o motor da equipe no ataque, mesmo na base da vontade o tricolor conseguiu chegar algumas vezes com perigo.
O árbitro deu oito minutos de acréscimo, mas infelizmente não conseguimos o empate e acabou a partida. Mais uma vez o VAR decide contra o Flu .
