Com isso, o atacante está livre para assinar com qualquer equipe. A primeira audiência entre Cruzeiro e o jogador seria amanhã, dia 19/02, mas foi adiada. Ainda não há data para a próxima reunião.
Fred vê com bons olhos a volta ao Rio e mantém contato com alguns jogadores do atual elenco tricolor. Além disso, o presidente Mário Bittencourt já falou por diversas vezes que deseja a volta do atacante, assim que se desligasse do Cruzeiro, e dentro da nova realidade do clube.
