Mário Bittencourt foi eleito presidente do Fluminense e trouxe consigo, na cadeira de vice, um dos tricolores mais importantes de nossa centenária história, e um das figuras mais queridas da galera tricolor: o Dr. Celso Barros. Dono do dom da oratória, Mário se engajou na campanha tal qual Assis quando recebeu aquele lançamento de Delei, aos 45 do segundo tempo, lá em 1983, década que consolidou, ainda mais, a paixão do novo presidente pelo Flu. Ele mesmo relatou isso, em seu discurso de posse.
Mário esteve dentro do Fluminense por quase 18 anos, quando entrou como estagiário e saiu como advogado – ganhando, inclusive, notoriedade nacional quando nos defendeu no caso Fla-Lusa-Evérton, que livrou o Flamengo da segunda divisão naquele ano. Saiu e voltou como vice de futebol, cargo que ocupou entre 2014 e 2016. Saiu de novo, assumiu a condição de oposição à gestão Peter, e concorreu a presidência pela primeira vez, ao lado de Tenório. Nessa eleição, Celso também foi um dos postulantes ao cargo, que acabou ficando nas mãos de Abad que, por sua vez, faria uma das piores gestões de nossa centenária história.
De lá para cá Mário se aprofundou no projeto de gestão. Levantou todas as questões que envolvem a administração de um clube enorme de futebol e abordou os principais pontos de forma lúcida e com projetos de evolução em cada área. E muitas coisas mudaram também. A principal foi a união com Celso Barros e a saída, um pouco depois, de Ricardo Tenório, que veio em outra chapa, concorrendo com ele nesse último pleito. Finalmente em 2019, na eleição antecipada, foi eleito presidente do Flu.

Mas e agora? O que a galera tricolor pode esperar desse advogado, de 40 anos, que sentou na cadeira presidencial na noite dessa última segunda-feira? Muitas coisas! E coisas boas! Isso é bom, mas isso também é perigoso.
Quem se deu ao trabalho de conhecer o plano de gestão proposto pelo novo presidente, entendeu que a implementação de todas as coisas ali planejadas requer tempo. E dinheiro. E hoje, infelizmente, o Flu não tem nem uma coisa e muito menos a outra. A galera quer ouvir que Mário conseguiu pagar os salários em dia, que conseguiu contratar Thiago Silva, Fred, Thiago Neves e outros. Que a Emirates será a nova patrocinadora. E todas essas coisas que só trariam a alegria as rodas de botequins tricolores. Mas, infelizmente, a realidade do Flu exige, sobretudo nesse momento, um esforço hercúleo de toda a sua equipe no fluxo de caixa do Clube.
Enquanto os torcedores esperam por ações grandiosas, a nova diretoria faz um trabalho de entender a dinâmica dos processos que estão estrangulando as finanças tricolores e o próprio clube em si. E isso foi dito em discursos de campanha e na posse também. Não há tempo a perder. Não temos tempo a perder. A cada dia que passa o Flu sucumbe aos desmandos de gestões fétidas passadas. É preciso estancar a sangria antes de receber sangue novo.
E quando a torcida espera algo grandioso de seu dirigente e as coisas começam a demorar mais do que a própria imaginou, a ansiedade começa a imperar no peito da galera e uma pressão, uma cobrança, pode surgir de forma descabida. E isso a galera tem que entender. Coisas boas virão, mas precisamos dar espaço ao novo presidente para que ele possa trabalhar. E esse espaço pode ser traduzido em tempo também.
De que adianta arrumarmos um patrocínio Master se, ao bater nas contas do clube, o dinheiro evaporar? O famoso efeito “pingo d’água em chapa quente”. É preciso inteligência, trabalho e, acima de tudo, saber o que estão fazendo. Se brinca muito que os jovens jogadores são cria de Xerém. Pois bem, então, numa adaptação livre, Mário é cria de Álvaro Chaves. Foi ali que ele surgiu como advogado e foi ali que ele conheceu os corredores do TRT (Tribunal Regional do Trabalho) onde transitam processos que tanto nos sufocam. Foi ali que ele se forjou advogado e conheceu o mundo jurídico através da visão de um clube de futebol. Esperamos que isso faça a diferença. Precisamos que faça a diferença.
Na sua posse inúmeros foram os convidados, das mais diversas áreas. Mas temos que dar destaque aos Desembargadores e Juízes presentes; aos auditores do TJD; ao presidente do TRT; ao presidente da FERJ. Não que esperemos nenhum favorecimento ilícito ao nosso clube, mas que nos dá uma sensação de que a relação do Flu com a justiça será diferente, isso nos dá. E também precisamos de maior representatividade em todas as esferas. Eu sei disso, você sabe disso, a torcida inteira sabe disso. Mas o melhor, é que Mário sabe também.
Por isso precisamos dar tempo ao tempo, para que as boas notícias comecem a surgir do Reino. Precisamos dar tempo para que ele consiga colocar a casa em ordem, arrumar essas questões processuais, de penhoras e etc… Ele precisa usar esse tempo para isso… Questões de contratações de impacto devem ficar para um segundo momento. Elas precisam estar nesse segundo momento. Afinal, a chegada de reforços de peso, com o elenco com salários, imagens e até o 13° atrasado, poderia ser uma bomba de efeito contrário no Reino. Esse é outro perigo.
Se fala em repatriar esse ou aquele ídolo enquanto nosso time de Guerreiros – porque de fato são – suam as camisas, o tempo todo, com salários atrasados. E olha que não se ouve falar nada sobre atrasos em treinos, faltas e qualquer outro tipo de conduta que venha desabonar esse elenco. E existem também os demais profissionais, não só do futebol, mas de todas as áreas, os pais de família, que trabalham no Flu penam com a situação à beira do caos. É preciso olhar para eles também. Nosso presidente sabe disso.
