A história de Marcos Paulo no Flu vai chegando ao fim, após propostas feitas pelo Parma, o jogador assinou pré-contrato com o Atlético de Madrid. Com o contrato perto do fim, o atleta sairá de graça para o clube espanhol, porém, o tricolor tem direito ao mecanismo da FIFA chamado de “compensação por treinamento”.
O valor é muito abaixo do que o tricolor já vislumbrou em receber com Marcos Paulo, anteriormente, o Fluminense planejava vender o jogador por cerca de €10 milhões. Segundo o “ge”, o Flu receberá do Atlético de Madrid, €500 mil, valor que gira em torno de R$3 milhões, caso o jogador de transfira ao fim de seu contrato, em junho.

A compensação por treinamento foi criada pela Fifa com o intenção de proteger os clubes formadores dos atletas. Marcos Motta, especialista na área de direitos esportivos internacional no Brasil explicou ao site “ge” o funcionamento deste mecanismo:
– Eu acompanhei a criação do mecanismo de solidariedade e do mecanismo de compensação por treinamento e formação lá no ano 2001. Esses mecanismos, ao contrário do que muita gente pensa que é uma esmola, na verdade foi criado pela Fifa exatamente para proteger os clubes formadores em função da decisão Bosman de 1995, que alterou toda a legislação, permitindo que os jogadores saíssem livres ao fim de seus contratos. O que é uma coisa tão óbvia, clara, hoje em dia, não era. Antes, os jogadores ao final do contrato ainda ficavam presos aos clubes, era o “passe”.
– Com os jogadores passando ao estado de “livre”, o que eles chamam de “free agent”, ou seja, os jogadores sem contrato, a Fifa resolveu criar em 2001, na revisão de seu regulamento, essas duas figuras de compensação de indenização e compensação do clube formador. Exatamente para que se evite que o clube formador não receba nenhum tipo de compensação quando o jogador estiver ao final do contrato. De alguma forma, tentar suprir as perdas que os clubes estavam tendo.
Marcos sugere que clubes busquem a renovação após o primeiro ou segundo ano de contrato:
– Aqui não estou culpando absolutamente ninguém, pois é também uma questão econômica. Em junho de 2020, houve a primeira proposta de renovação do Flu ao Marcos Paulo, mas não houve acordo, já que o atleta já vislumbrava uma negociação para a Europa na janela de transferência seguinte. Novas conversas ocorreram em dezembro, mas também sem sucesso.
