Raio-X do Cerro Porteño, próximo adversário do Fluminense pela Libertadores
O sorteio da última terça-feira (01) ditou o confronto entre Fluminense e Cerro Porteño pelas oitavas-de-final da Copa Libertadores. Os paraguaios ficaram em segundo no Grupo H — o mesmo do Atlético-MG — enquanto o Tricolor terminou como líder no Grupo D. Por isso, o jogo de ida vai ser realizado em Assunção e o de volta no Maracanã. Mas antes, o ST traz algumas informações sobre o próximo adversário do Flu no Torneio.
Em live no canal Arnaldo e Tirone, Joza Novalis — especialista no futebol latino americano — afirmou categoricamente que o Fluminense se deu bem no chaveamento. De acordo com o jornalista, a equipe treinada pelo ex-jogador de Grêmio e Palmeiras, Francisco ‘Chiqui’ Arce, está entre as piores classificadas para esta fase.
“Esta equipe não tem nenhum padrão de jogo. Esta equipe não sabe se comportar na defesa, não sabe se comportar no ataque, não sabe se comportar na transição, deixa muito espaço entre os setores do campo. É uma equipe ridícula, infelizmente é preciso dizer. É um gigante do Paraguai, mas é ridícula. Aliás, lá no Paraguai eles também acham a sua. A própria torcida do Cerro acha isso”, exclamou Jozi Novalis na transmissão.
Os números comprovam as impressões. Para chegar até aqui, a equipe venceu os dois jogos contra o lanterna América de Cali, da Colômbia, e um contra o Deportivo La Guaira, sendo que só o primeiro foi por dois gols de diferença. Por outro lado, perdeu as duas partidas para o Galo, com direito a um 4 a 0 no Mineirão. Além de um empate em 0 a 0 com o La Guaira na Venezuela.

Análise do Cerro Porteño
Com apenas quatro gols em seis jogos, o Cerro tem o pior ataque e é a que criou menos oportunidades de gol entre os times 16 classificados para as oitavas. Mesmo finalizando, em média, 8,7 vezes por jogo, mais que, por exemplo, o Fluminense, que tem 8,2.
Na defesa, diante do Atlético no Mineirão, a equipe Azulgrana também demonstrou cometeu erros na saída de bola. Sofreu sobretudo com os passes em profundidade pelo meio, muito por conta do enorme espaço entre os zagueiros no momento defensivo. Três dos quatro gols saíram de bolas enfiadas na vertical. Da mesma forma que o Fluminense marcou 60% dos seus gols na fase de grupos. O Tricolor pode contar principalmente com os passes de Cazares e Fred que mais contribuíram para este tipo de jogada.
Em contrapartida, os paraguaios têm a segunda maior média de desarmes e a terceira maior de interceptações entre os classificados. No segundo quesito fica atrás só de Racing e do próprio Fluminense.
O desequilíbrio se repetiu também no Campeonato Paraguaio. O Cerro terminou o Torneo Apertura na quarta colocação, 10 pontos atrás do líder, o rival Libertad e com apenas uma vitória nas cinco rodadas finais. Mas com o quarto melhor ataque, com 28 gols marcados em 18 jogos, e a quarta melhor defesa, com 22 gols sofridos.

Entre os destaques do Cerro Porteño na Libertadores está um velho conhecido do Fluminense. Quer dizer, não tão conhecido assim. Revelado pelo Ferro Carril-Oeste, da Argentina, Claudio Aquino desembarcou no Flu em 2016 vindo por empréstimo do Independiente. Mas a torcida tricolor pouco pode ver do meia-atacante. Foram apenas dois jogos, 105 minutos, antes de ser devolvido para o clube argentino.
Nesta Libertadores, Aquino aparece como o jogador com mais mais finalizações do Azulgrana — média de 2,5 — e mais passes decisivos, 1,3 por jogo. O clube também tem como destaque o lateral-direito Alberto Espinola, da Seleção Paraguaia, com uma média de 4,8 desarmes por partida e a presença do centroavante Mauro Boseli, ex-Corinthians, que terminou o Apertura como um dos artilheiros da equipe — ao lado de Robert Morales — com sete gols marcados.
Tempo para treinar antes das oitavas
Por outro lado, o Cerro Porteño terá bastante tempo treinar. O Paraguai, assim como outros seis filiados à Conmebol, vai ter o campeonato nacional interrompido durante a disputa da Copa América. Somente Brasil, Uruguai e Venezuela vão continuar a realizar partidas durante a competição.
Embora a equipe tenha tempo para consertar as falhas apresentadas na fase de grupos, pois vai ficar sem jogar até o confronto contra o Fluminense, em Julho, Joza Novalis disse não acreditar em um eventual crescimento do time comandado por ‘Chiqui’ Arce.
“Essa equipe não vai crescer. Tem algumas que vão evoluir, mas o Cerro não vai evoluir, o Olimpia não vai evoluir e, na minha opinião, o Fluminense já passou”, completou o jornalista durante a live.
Retrospecto do Fluminense contra os paraguaios no mata-mata da Libertadores
Se o Cerro Porteño não inspira confiança, contudo, o Fluminense precisa ficar atento com o histórico em relação a adversários paraguaios nas fases eliminatórias da Copa Libertadores da América. Em metade das vezes que passou, o Time de Guerreiros acabou eliminado por uma equipe do país vizinho.
Assim aconteceu em 2011 diante do Libertad e se repetiu em 2013 com o Olimpia. Nesta segunda, aliás, o clube do Paraguai terminou como vice-campeão após perder a final contra o Atlético-MG.
