O meia Paulo Henrique Ganso é o único atleta do Flu que já conquistou a taça mais importante das Américas.
O elenco profissional do Fluminense atualmente é composto por 30 atletas: Marcos Felipe, Muriel, João Lopes; Matheus Ferraz, Nino, Frazan, Luan, Luccas Claro, Rafael Ribeiro; Igor Julião, Egídio, Danilo Barcelos, Calegari; Hudson, Martinelli, Yuri, André, Miguel, Yago Felipe, Nenê, Ganso, Michel Araújo; Marcos Paulo, Fernando Pacheco, Fred, Caio Paulista, Luiz Henrique, Wellington Silva, Felippe Cardoso e Lucca.
O atleta Hudson jogava profissionalmente em 2013 mas sua situação com o Tricolor está indefinida pois o volante está no fim de seu empréstimo com o Flu e ele deverá voltar ao São Paulo. O caso é parecido com o de Wellington Silva que está encaminhado para jogar no futebol japonês e provavelmente não jogará no Fluminense na próxima temporada.

O atacante Felippe Cardoso não irá atuar mais pelo Tricolor mas ainda consta como atleta do Fluminense. Já Marcos Paulo, mesmo com contrato assinado para integrar o Atlético de Madrid, só irá para o clube espanhol no meio desse ano.

Muriel (Internacional):
O atual goleiro reserva do Flu começou sua carreira profissional em 2009 quando foi emprestado para o Caxias pelo Internacional. No ano seguinte, o atleta voltou ao seu clube de origem e em 2013 ele começava o seu quarto ano seguido vestindo a camisa colorada. No ano anterior, Muriel foi titular nos 10 jogos que a equipe jogou na Libertadores.

Luccas Claro (Coritiba):
O zagueiro titular tricolor subiu da base do Coritiba em 2011 e em 2013 estava atuando em seu terceiro ano como profissional. O atleta ainda não teve a oportunidade de jogar a Libertadores e agora vai disputar a competição na melhor fase de sua carreira.
Matheus Ferraz (Criciúma):
Matheus Ferraz subiu da base pelo Santos em 2005 e teve passagens por vários clubes do Brasil e até pelo Chipre. Já em 2013 o atleta foi contratado pelo Criciúma para a disputa da Série A. O agora zagueiro reserva do Flu irá jogar a sua primeira Libertadores da América.

Danilo Barcelos (América-MG):
O lateral foi revelado em 2012 pelo Poços de Caldas (MG). E no ano seguinte foi contratado pelo América Mineiro e depois rodou por vários times no Brasil. E, em 2017, o jogador atuou pela Libertadores com o Atlético-MG.
Egídio (Cruzeiro):
O titular do lado esquerdo do Flu foi revelado pelo Flamengo em 2006. Durante sua carreira ele jogou em alguns times brasileiros e até mesmo pelo Dnipro da Ucrânia. Em 2013, o Cruzeiro contratou o jogador do nosso rival. O atleta tem várias passagens pela Libertadores por diversos times: Paraná, Cruzeiro e Palmeiras.
Igor Julião (Fluminense):
O lateral subiu ao profissionais em 2012 e jogou apenas uma partida no ano. Na lista de relacionados da Libertadores, o técnico Abel Braga optou por Bruno e Wellington Silva para a posição. Por isso, essa será a sua primeira vez jogando a Libertadores da América.
