Mais um processo para sufocar os combalidos cofres tricolores. O Fluminense foi condenado a pagar 536 mil euros, por uma dívida contraída com o Samorin (clube da Eslováquia, com o qual o tricolor tinha uma parceria) num processo movido pelos eslovacos na Fifa. Sem possibilidade de acordo – os europeus não abriram sequer diálogo para tanto nessa fase processual – a única alternativa do Flu para não ser punido pela entidade que rege o futebol mundial, é pagar a quantia. E o rombo era até maior.
No processo, movido pelos eslovacos, o valor original da cobrança girava na casa dos 2 milhões de euros, o que daria algo próximo a 12,5 milhões de reais. Após uma discussão judicial, a corte condenou o Fluminense ao pagamento de 536 mil euros, ou algo próximo dos 3,5 milhões de reais. E o prazo se aproxima do fim.
De acordo com a última entrevista do presidente Mário Bittencourt, o Flu teria 40 dias para realizar o pagamento da condenação, caso não queria ser punido com a proibição de transferências de jogadores ou perda de pontos na tabela do campeonato (a exemplo do que aconteceu com o Cruzeiro). Como a entrevista foi concedida há aproximadamente três semanas atrás, o tempo está ficando cada vez mais curto.
