Sul-Americano sub-20 é cancelado e dupla não deve mais desfalcar o Flu neste Brasileirão
A Federação Colombiana de Futebol anunciou, nesta quarta-feira, o cancelamento do Sul-Americano sub-20 que seria disputado no país. Segundo a entidade, a decisão se deu em decorrência da pandemia de Covid-19. O torneio teria como sede as cidades de Manizales, Armenia, Pereira e Ibagué, mas todas são consideras áreas de risco de contágio.
Se há lamentação por parte das respectivas seleções, os clubes brasileiros podem enxergar de outra maneira. Isso porque a competição aconteceria em fevereiro de 2021, mês das últimas cinco rodadas do Campeonato Brasileiro. Como algumas equipes têm atletas jovens importantes em seus elencos, existia o risco destes jogadores desfalcarem seus times na reta decisiva do Brasileirão. É o caso do Fluminense, que tem o atacante Luiz Henrique e o lateral-direito Calegari constantemente convocados para a Seleção Brasileira sub-20. Ambos, inclusive, desfalcaram o Fluminense nas últimas duas partidas por estarem servindo à Seleção.
Com o cancelamento do torneio, não há risco, a princípio, de Luiz Henrique e Calegari desfalcarem o Tricolor para a disputa do último mês do Brasileirão, o qual é composto por cinco rodadas. Os adversários são:
