Flu contrata volante Dieguinho para o Sub-20 – Clube terá 60% dos direitos e jovem assina até o fim de 2022
O volante Dieguinho é o terceiro jogador contratado para integrar o time Sub-20 do Fluminense na temporada de 2021. O jovem de 18 anos, estava em um período de testes em Xerém e agora, assina em definitivo com o tricolor. A informação foi dada em primeira mão por caio Maximiano, do Portal Info Sul.
No acordo entre os clubes, Dieguinho fica em definitivo no Flu e o Hercílio Luz-SC, equipe de onde o jovem veio, permanece com 40% dos direitos econômicos. Agora, dono da maior parte, (60%), o Fluminense ainda terá a opção de adquirir outros 15% até o fim de 2022. Para isso, terá que desembolsar um valor ao Leão do Sul. A opção de compra dos 15% é de R$300 mil.
Visto com potencial pela comissão técnica e dirigentes do Hercílio, Dieguinho estreou nos profissionais com apenas 17 anos, durante a Série B do Catarinense do ano passado. Chamado às pressas para suprir a ausência dos jogadores que estavam com Covid-19, o garoto não sentiu o peso da estreia como profissional e cumpriu bem a função na partida contra o Inter de Lages. No jogo seguinte, contra o Camboriú, voltou a ser titular e participou dos 90 minutos no empate em 3 a 3 no Aníbal Costa. Na sequência da competição, ele foi relacionado para outros cinco jogos, mas não entrou em campo.

Em 2021, Dieguinho foi utilizado somente na reta final do Campeonato Catarinense. O técnico Tom escalou o volante como titular na derrota para o Avaí na Ressacada e utilizou o garoto na reta final da partida contra o Joinville, para segurar o resultado que garantiu a permanência da equipe na primeira divisão.
Desde o início de junho, Dieguinho participa dos treinamentos junto ao elenco Sub-20 do Flu, em Xerém. Aprovado pelo técnico Eduardo Oliveira e os demais membros da comissão técnica, ele agora fará parte do grupo que disputa o Campeonato Carioca e o Brasileirão da categoria sub-20.
O lateral esquerdo João Vitor Pereira Gomes (Negueba), de 19 anos, também fez um período de testes no tricolor vindo da mesma equipe. Esse porém, não foi aprovado e retorna para a equipe de Santa Catarina.
